We are happy to offer all types of sewing services, from minor alterations and repairs through to bespoke commissions for original garments, plus curtains, blinds and soft furnishings. Based in St Day (nr Redruth) and Penryn (nr Falmouth) we are open to visitors from across Cornwall and are very happy to provide a service across the UK by post. Our river side shop in Penryn allows us to serve the marine community with ease.

The original Make Do and Mend shop was set up in St Day, Cornwall in 2003 by Philippa Bray offering sewing services, bespoke clothing and craft items made by locals. The shop has been busy from the day it opened and in 2009 a second shop was opened in Penryn with a view to opening a couple of franchises over the next few years.
